Government Shutdown = Down Websites = Angry Freelance Writers

For many freelance writers, the US Government shutdown has one major implication: inaccessible federal websites.

If you're trying to reference and access a specific article for instance on the Federal Trade Commission's website, you'll be greeted with this.

The solution?

Web Archive it

US FTC - http://web.archive.org/web/20130927114421/http://www.ftc.gov/
If you want to reference a specific article and don't want to link to the archive Just remove the first set of http:// until the last / before the next http://.

So in this case just just link to http://www.ftc.gov
